I feel kind of stupid for trusting them on this one. The seat started making me sore quickly, and it just wasn’t comfortable enough to use for any real amount of time. I expected better

It folds up quickly without any hassle, which I really appreciate. Sometimes it’s the small things that make daily routines feel smoother, and this definitely does that.

I was in a good mood when I opened it, and thankfully the setup didn’t ruin that at all. It took me maybe 10 minutes to assemble, with no hassle or frustration. Impressed with how simple it was

The mounts just didn’t line up right for me. I tried messing with it a bit, but it was kind of off and made the install more annoying than it should’ve been

The instructions were okay overall, and I was able to figure things out in the end, but there were definitely a few steps that had me stopping and rereading a couple of times. Some parts were clear enough, but then other parts felt like they were missing a little extra explanation or maybe an example, so I had to kind of guess what they meant and hope I was doing it right. It wasn’t impossible or anything, and I did eventually get it done, but it took a bit more time and patience than I expected.

The updates came way too late. I kept waiting and wondering why it had to be so complicated just to get things fixed or improved. By the time the updates finally showed up, it felt like they should’ve been there much sooner...

I mostly noticed how cramped it started to feel after a while. At first it seemed fine, but once I’d been using it for some time, that’s the thing that stood out to me the most.

I took it out on a windy day it did better than I figured it would. It still drifts a little here and there, but it felt stable enough that I wasn’t really worried. Overall, I’m happy with it... kind of surprised, actually.

I’ve taken it out twice now, it felt way more stable than I expected. Even with a few small waves, it stayed steady, really steady, which made the whole experience a lot more comfortable.

I got an Oru kayak mostly because I don’t have a garage, that part is great. It folds down small enough to fit in my apartment closet, which is exactly what I needed. That said, setting it up hasn’t been as quick or easy as I expected. The first few times were annoying, and even now I still find myself double-checking the folds and fiddling with it before I feel ready to get on the water. My bigger gripe is that when you have questions or run into little issues, it’s not always clear who actually owns the problem. It kind of feels like you get bounced around between instructions, videos, and support without anyone really taking responsibility. Overall, it does solve my storage problem, so I’m glad I have it. But for the price, I wish it felt a little smoother and less like a project every trip

I’m glad I bought it and think it was worth the money. The only thing I didn’t love was the shipping time, I wish it had arrived a little quicker. Other than that, I’m happy with it.

I took this on a wet weekend trip and was actually impressed with how well it handled the rain. It wasn’t completely perfect, after a heavy downpour I noticed a little dampness near the zipper, but overall it kept things much drier than I expected. For the most part, I’m happy with it

I had a question about my order and, i wasn’t expecting much. But they got back to me fast and actually gave me a clear answer without making me go in circles. I’ll admit it made the whole thing a lot less stressful. Good support overall.

The site isn’t bad at all, and I can’t say it’s not easy enough to use. It’s clean and gets the job done, but it does feel a little dated. The colors and layout aren’t nothing terrible, they just could be a lot more modern and interesting

I’ve had my Oru kayak for a few years now, and it’s held up really well. It still folds fine, hasn’t leaked, and it’s easy to store, which I appreciate because bulky gear can make me feel trapped in my own space. Overall, I’m still happy with it.

Setting up the kayak was easy, which I appreciated. But the paddling speed?! It felt average to me. Not slow or anything, just not as quick as I was hoping it would be...

My snap judgment was that the site looked good, but I’ll be honest, it wasn’t super easy to figure out right away. It took me a little time to get used to where everything was. Once I got the hang of it, though, it worked well enough.

I got my order from orukayak.com and, the material quality is good. It feels sturdy and not cheap, which I was kind of worried about at first. There are a few small finishing details that could be a little cleaner, but, you know, nothing that really bothers me. I’ve used it a few times now and it’s holding up well. Overall, I’m happy with it, just not totally perfect

The kayak itself has been fine and I don’t really have any complaints there. The carrying bag is another story though. After just a few uses, the straps already started looking worn, and the zipper gets stuck sometimes. It still works, but I expected something sturdier if it’s meant to actually carry the kayak around. When I asked about it, I kind of felt talked down to, like I was being unreasonable for expecting the bag to hold up better. Overall, the kayak is decent, but the bag feels cheap.

I picked up the Oru kayak mostly because I don’t have a roof rack, and for that it’s been great. Carrying it from my apartment to the car is maybe a fraction of the hassle compared to a regular kayak. Folding it back up, though, still takes me a little while, especially if it’s wet. It’s not a huge deal, just not quite as easy as I was hoping.
